OD (Olivia Dawn Music Co. Ltd.) is a Hong-Kong-based music curation and composition company.
We create and curate sound for advertising, art, film, fashion, games and culture events.
We enjoy building worlds and telling stories through sound, with vision, process, emotion and atmosphere as the main focus.
We promote forward-thinking ideas while firmly paying respect to culture from the past.
Violinist and electronic composer Olivia Dawn Mok’s adventure began at the age of 5 with the violin and piano. She made her first solo concert appearance with orchestra at the age of 10, debuting at the Hong Kong Cultural Centre at the age of 11.
A graduate of the Juilliard School in classical violin, OD attained two masters degrees in jazz and music technology from Berklee College of Music’s Masters Campus in Valencia, where she studied contemporary theory and electronic production on scholarship. Throughout her school years she developed an obsession with Nintendo video games, hand-drawn animation and old film soundtracks.
Having grown up to the music of the 90’s-mid 00’s, OD’s curation and production ranges from cinematic soundscapes to ambient atmospheres, dream pop, house, broken beat, techno and IDM, with 80’s Cantonese and Japanese cultural influences. Known for her open-minded approach, her roots stretch back beyond classical and jazz to folk, funk, soul, post-rock and world music.
She began building and collaborating with like-minded artists and brands who shared her passion for creating unique listening experiences for listeners to immerse themselves in, with music production, sound design and performance as the core outlet for expression.
In 2020 during the pandemic, Olivia redesigned the musical blueprint of Carlyle & Co, through selective jazz bookings as former Music Director, having previously served as Music Curator of W Hong Kong and W London - Leicester Square. During her time at C&Co., she spearheaded the Cafe Carlyle & Friends jazz festival, while regularly hosting fireside chats with international jazz artists. The intimate chats delved into deep topics with artists, revealing their process and emotional mindset.
As a contemporary violinist, she has collaborated with artists such as Reuben James and Jalen Ngonda, and has been featured as a guest soloist in a diverse range of concerts, from Le French May’s tribute concert to Michel Petrucciani with the Carpio Brothers and Sylvain Gagnon to Janice Vidal’s “Be Still” concert at the Hong Kong Coliseum.
As a selector, OD has curated musical journeys for quality F&B establishments such as 2* restaurant Arbor and Felix at the Peninsula Hong Kong, creating time-sensitive playlists that match the seasonal dining experience, as well as designing sonic experiences for art exhibitions at M Plus Museum, Christie’s Asia and Phillips.
Always challenging the status quo, OD’s sonic palette allows her to continue creating unique musical journeys while focusing on music composition and production with musical integrity at the forefront, leading her to curate ambient soundscapes for events such Louis Vuitton’s “Objets Nomades” exhibition and Macau’s Teamlab collaboration with Chopard. OD Music is an outlet for collaborations in advertising, art, culture, film and fashion. Her first international feature film score for “The Furious” premiered at TIFF in late 2025, under the name Olivia Xiaolin (a.k.a. Xiaolin). She has collaborated with with fashion brands such as Tatler, Vogue, Nike, The North Face, Prada, Versace, Miu Miu, Tiffany & Co., Loewe, Chloé, Louis Vuitton, Fendi, Chanel among others.
